April 24 - Max Fried threw a shutout and earned his fifth straight win against Miami, as the Atlanta Braves rolled to a 5-0 win over the visiting Marlins on Tuesday.
Atlanta has won the first two games of the series and the Braves have won eight of their past nine games. The Braves are 4-1 against Miami this season.
Fried (2-0) needed only 92 pitches and allowed three hits, no walks and struck out six in beating Miami for the second time this season. It was the fifth career complete game and fourth shutout for the left-hander.
