There wasn’t much good news to come out of Atlanta’s series in Los Angeles but it looks like they might have dodged a bullet in regards to the health of starter Max Fried. Fried left Tuesday’s game in the second inning after being struck in the wrist by a line drive off the bat of Alex Verdugo. X-Rays came back negative but it remained an open question as to whether he would be ready to make his next scheduled start on Sunday in Arizona.
However, that now seems to appear likely. Brian Snitker told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution’s Gabe Burns before Thursday’s series opener in Arizona that Fried felt good during his side session and he is on track to be ready to go on Sunday.
