Max Fried, a key starting pitcher for the Atlanta Braves will be out for at least two months, the team announced on Monday.
Fried has been sidelined with a forearm injury since his May 5 start against the Baltimore Orioles.
On Monday the team moved Fried to the 60-day injured list.
The 29-year-old Fried has been arguably the Braves’ best pitcher since 2019, so his being sidelined until at least early August is a major blow.
Somewhat surprising after two starts the Braves are sending Michael Soroka back to Triple-A .
