The month of August is not when you want to start to see guys hitting the disabled list. Unfortunately, the injury bug bit the Braves in a fairly significant way on Tuesday.
Max Fried, as was reported earlier, had to leave his start far too early due to a groin injury. At the end of the second inning, a hot shot line drive was aimed right at him and in the process of trying to get out of the way, he pulled his groin. He was able to make the play, but immediately left the field and as soon as the staff found out it was his groin, he got pulled in favor of Kolby Allard which did not go particularly well.
