It’s not every day that a triple-digits-hurling righty gets removed from your favorite team’s 40-man roster, but that’s what happened with Mauricio Cabrera and the Braves this afternoon. As part of signing old friend and fan favorite Peter Moylan to a major league deal, the Braves have punted Cabrera off the roster to make room.
Cabrera made his major league debut with the Braves in 2016 to moderate success, pitching 38 and 1⁄3 innings with a 2.82 ERA and 3.04 FIP, albeit with a 4.61 xFIP that portended some serious regression.
