Before becoming a World Series hero for the Atlanta Braves, reliever Tyler Matzek once volunteered to be a batboy while playing for the Asheville Tourists.

Matzek was the Colorado Rockies’ top draft pick in 2009 and had a signing bonus of more than four million dollars. He pitched for the Tourists for part of the 2010 and 2011 seasons and made an impact while he was with Asheville.
