The Atlanta Braves saw another lead slip away but Matt Adams’ second home run of the day proved to be the difference in a 12-inning 6-5 win.
Adams took a low and away slider from Blake Wood out to the opposite field to put the Braves in front for good. Jim Johnson pitched out of trouble in the 11th but worked a perfect 12th to secure the win.
Cincinnati got on the board first in the fourth on a solo home run by Jose Peraza.
The Braves wasted no time answering back in the fifth.
