WASHINGTON (AP) -- The Washington Nationals' game against the Miami Marlins on Saturday was postponed because of unseasonably cold weather and rescheduled as part of a split doubleheader on May 14 at 1:05 p.m.
The Nationals said the wind chill was predicted to be in the upper 20s to low 30s on Saturday at the scheduled 4:05 p.m. first pitch. It snowed in the nation's capital earlier in the day.
The game was called off about 3 1/2 hours before the start and neither the Nationals (2-1) nor the Marlins (1-2) made their manager and players available to the media.
