The Braves youth movement was set to take another step forward on Tuesday evening, but that had to be pushed back a day due to a rainout.
But on Wednesday, left-handed pitcher Luiz Gohara makes his big league debut in the first game of a split doubleheader, as the Braves wrap up a series with the Rangers.
Gohara, listed at 6-foot-3 and 210 pounds, is one of the young pitchers that the Braves hope to become a mainstay in the rotation in future seasons. This season, he has played on three levels of minor league ball (Advanced Class A, Double-A and Triple-A), and has compiled a 7-4 overall record with a solid 2.
