The Atlanta Braves won the World Series back in November but the celebration is ongoing. The Braves announced Tuesday a World Series Trophy tour with 151 stops, including one in the Augusta area, to commemorate 151 years of Braves baseball.
The tour will begin on Tuesday, Feb. 15, in Midtown Atlanta and includes stops in Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee, Mississippi, South Carolina and North Carolina. At each stop, fans will have the opportunity to take photos with the trophy.
A spokesperson with the Augusta GreenJackets said a date for the team's Augusta stop hasn't been nailed down, but the team is working with the Braves to set a date and time.
