The Braves successfully snapped a four-game losing streak on Wednesday with a 7-3 win over the St. Louis Cardinals. Atlanta enters the series with a 5.5 game lead over the Phillies and a magic number of six to clinch the division.
Kevin Gausman will be working with an extra day of rest when he makes the start in Thursday’s opener. Gausman was lights out in his first six appearances for the Braves but has struggled a bit in his last two.
