The Atlanta Braves have enjoyed success this week in Queens, taking the first two games against the New York Mets in enjoyable fashion. On Thursday afternoon, the same two teams will be together again and, this time, Julio Teheran will take the ball for the visitors in search of a sweep over a division rival.
Teheran exited his last start after less than 50 pitches and his ailment was described as tightness in his right upper trapezius. If nothing else, it was (quite) clear that the veteran right-hander was not operating at full capacity and, with that in mind, he was granted an extra day of rest (his previous start came on Friday) with Mike Soroka filling the gap.
