Presumed Opening Day starter Julio Teheran gave up three runs in 4.1 innings as the Atlanta Braves fell 3-2 to the New York Yankees on Saturday afternoon, after enduring slightly over an hour rain delay before beginning the proceedings.
Teheran retired the side in order in the first two innings, and surrendered a pair of soft singles in the third before inducing a double play. Trouble came in the fourth inning.
His defense did him no favors, though. Nick Swisher misplayed a grounder at first base and Hector Olivera let a flyball over his head in left field, as three runs scored in the frame.
