The unfortunate start to the season for Venters has taken an even worse turn of events as the lefty has been placed on the 10-day injured list for what is being called a right calf strain announces the team.

While Venters has racked up the strikeouts, possessing a 17 K/9, he has unfortunately been walking people at a 17 BB/9 rate as well.
