John Gant shows what he's made of, giving the Braves a tough decision after making it to the final cut week of Spring Training.
Last summer, the Braves shipped off two seasoned veterans, Kelly Johnson and Juan Uribe to the Mets. In return, Atlanta received pitching prospects Rob Whalen and John Gant. At the time, it may have seemed like the assets returning in the trade looked to be "no-name" guys. That is no longer the case for one of them, as John Gant is showing promise, and on the doorstep of making a Major League roster in no time at all.
