Jim Johnson drawing interest from Texas Rangers, per report

Jim Johnson is perhaps the quintessential picture of a player that should be involved in trade rumors, and we can add another team to the list of potential suitors for the veteran right-hander. First, the New York Mets were reportedly linked to a pursuit of Johnson.

Now, the Atlanta Braves are reportedly fielding calls from the Texas Rangers with Johnson as an inclusion.

The 33-year-old right-hander has bounced around since enjoying a stellar stretch as the closer for the Baltimore Orioles in 2012 and 2013, and the Braves already traded Johnson away last season. If healthy, Johnson could be productive and useful to a contending team, and the 33-year-old holds an ERA and FIP under 4.
