Starters Tyrell Jenkins and John Gant pitched well Tuesday as the Gwinnett Braves split a doubleheader at Norfolk.
Gwinnett (23-24) won the first game 3-2 but dropped the second game 2-1.
Jenkins (5-2) went six innings in the first game, allowing just four hits and two runs, while walking two and striking out a season-high nine.
Gant lasted six innings in the second game, scattering seven hits and allowing one unearned run. He also struck out a season-high nine and did not walk a batter.
A throwing error by Braves shortstop Ozzie Albies helped Norfolk score a run in the second game.
