Jaime Garcia throws a gem, drives in game’s only runs in 2-0 win

Coming off a couple of tough losses to the Pirates, the Braves needed to bounce back on Friday night. Behind a stellar performance on the mound (and at the plate) by Jaime Garcia, the Braves won, 2-0.

Garcia was sharp from the early going and cruised through the first couple innings. He navigated a bases-loaded situation in the sixth, but he came out unscathed. Jaime’s night ended after 6.2 innings. He surrendered just four hits (all singles) and two walks while striking out five. His ERA for the year is down to 3.58.

Garcia provided the only offense the Braves would get all night.
