Jace Peterson will miss a couple of games due to a thumb injury.
Atlanta Braves' second baseman Jace Peterson is expected to miss at least two games with a thumb injury. Fredi Gonzalez told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution's Michael Cunningham prior to Friday's game that Peterson had been dealing with pain in his thumb for the last few days and received an injection on Thursday. He is scheduled to set out Saturday's game as well and will then be reevaluated further.
Gonzalez also indicated that Peterson was dealing with a deep bruise and that there was nothing structurally wrong with his thumb.
