All 30 teams across Major League Baseball will take the field on Friday night as the regular season winds down to around 15 remaining games.
The Mets and Phillies kickoff a three-game series at Citizens Bank Park, one that could make or break New York’s season. They hold a one-game lead over the Atlanta Braves for the last wild card spot, who next play the Los Angeles Dodgers.
One of those two NL East teams will get into the playoffs. The Phillies currently lead the division by a comfortable eight games, and barring a total meltdown in the last 16 games (seven against the Mets), they should have this division crown just about locked up.
