Atlanta Braves pitcher Spencer Strider has been out for the season with an elbow injury, but it didn't prevent him from tossing out the 'first pitch' last week to open a concert last week at the Georgia Theatre.
Strider joined Atlanta singer-songwriter Faye Webster on stage before the show began and tossed an underhand lob to Webster, who was squatting like a catcher. Webster is a Braves fanatic whose song "A dream with a baseball player" is said to be inspired by a crush on Braves outfielder Ronald Acuna Jr.
Last month, Strider exhibited his love of indie music when the Braves held a Spencer Strider vinyl record giveaway featuring three Atlanta-based bands of his choice.
