The Phillies are one victory away from baseball’s Final Four.
Behind another solid start from Aaron Nola and a third-inning scoring outburst Friday, the Phillies defeated the Atlanta Braves, 9-1, in Game 3 of a best-of-five NLDS at Citizens Bank Park.
Nola struck out six, walked two and allowed five hits in six innings before being lifted after a seventh-inning leadoff single from Orlando Arcia single.
“I think he’s come up the biggest for us when we’ve needed it,” J.T. Realmuto said. “In these last couple of starts we needed the best version of him. That’s exactly what he’s delivered.
