Julio Teheran allowed five runs in five innings as the Atlanta Braves dropped their second straight game to the New York Yankees by a score of 6-2. New York takes 2-of-3 while the Braves fall to 4-2 on their current road trip.
New York jumped out to an early lead against Teheran in the second inning when Greg Bird singled through the right side to score Didi Gregorius to put the Yankees up 1-0. They would strike again in the third when Giancarlo Stanton jumped on an 0-2 fastball from Teheran and drove it 410 feet into the right centerfield stands to increase the lead to 4-0.
