Hector Olivera sent to GCL to begin rehab assignment

Suspended Braves outfielder Hector Olivera is set to begin a rehab assignment with the Gulf Coast League Braves on Friday. He is in the lineup batting third and will play left field.

Olivera is currently serving an 82-game suspension for violating MLB’s Domestic Violence policy. Friday was the first day that Olivera was eligible to begin a rehab assignment under the terms of his suspension.
