Atlanta Braves outfielder Hector Olivera was arrested in Arlington, Virginia, early Wednesday morning due to his alleged involvement in a domestic dispute.
According to Jeff Goldberg of ABC7 WJLA in Washington, D.C., the 31-year-old native of Cuba was arrested at the Ritz Carlton Hotel after a woman called 911 and said she had been assaulted.
Per Brody Logan of Fox 5 DC, Olivera is in police custody, but he has not yet been charged with any crime.
According to Goldberg, police sources said the woman and Olivera know each other and the woman had bruises upon the arrival of officers.
