ATLANTA -- When Freddie Freeman drew a first-inning walk against Joe Ross during Wednesday night's game against the Nationals at SunTrust Park, he joined Jeff Burroughs as the only players in Atlanta history to reach safely in 11 consecutive plate appearances.
Freeman's streak began when he drew an intentional walk during the sixth inning of Sunday's win over the Padres. He became the fifth player in Braves franchise history to record two home runs and two doubles in a game on Monday night, then added a pair of hits during Tuesday's series opener against the Nationals.
