ATLANTA -- Freddie Freeman exited Wednesday night's game against the Blue Jays after getting hit near the bottom of his left hand with a pitch in the fifth inning.
Freeman grimaced and steadily made his way toward assistant trainer Jim Lovell after getting hit by Aaron Loup's 94-mph fastball. He was removed after being briefly examined by Lovell.
Freeman entered the game hitting .343, with an MLB-best 14 home runs and a 1.211 OPS.
