NEW YORK -- Braves first baseman Freddie Freeman exited Wednesday afternoon's game against the Yankees shortly after being hit above the right elbow by a CC Sabathia pitch.
Freeman wiggled his hand and grabbed his right triceps muscle immediately after being hit by Sabathia's 91.4-mph sinker. The Braves' first baseman remained in the game to play defense during the bottom of the third, but he did not return for the bottom of the fourth.
Charlie Culberson, who had been in left field, transitioned to first base, with Danny Santana entering to play left.
