For those that remember last season when Freddie Freeman was hit by a pitch in the wrist resulting in a lengthy DL stint, that was not fun. Sure, the Braves managed to snag Matt Adams in a trade to lessen the blow, but you don’t lose a player like Freddie Freeman and not feel a bit of a sting.
Well, it was the worst kind of deja vu on Wednesday night as Freddie Freeman was hit by a pitch in pretty much the exact same spot in the eighth inning.
Freeman exits after getting hit near the same spot where his left wrist was fractured last year.
