SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) -“Being drafted by the Braves is probably a dream come true for a young man who grew up in Georgia and watched the Braves play, and Carter has been very consistent with his dream of playing collegiate baseball and professional baseball since he was a kid.” said Carter Holton’s former baseball coach, Kevin Farmer.
Holton’s dream of being drafted came true Sunday night when he was picked 62nd overall by the Atlanta Braves.
The selection comes after three seasons at Vanderbilt, Holton starting 39 games in his Commodore career. He compiled an 18-10 overall record.
