ATLANTA -- Mike Foltynewicz found his way on base with a successful safety squeeze and Freddie Freeman somehow managed to avoid Blue Jays catcher Luke Maile's tag as the Braves erupted for six runs during the second inning of Wednesday night's game against the Blue Jays at SunTrust Park.
After Dansby Swanson's one-out single put runners at the corners against Sam Gaviglio, Foltynewicz strolled toward the plate with two hits, two sacrifice bunts and 22 strikeouts through his first 32 plate appearances of the season. The All-Star hurler created some value with his bat when his bunt down the first-base line scored Johan Camargo and drew an errant throw to first base from Maile.
