Atlanta Braves starting pitcher Mike Foltynewicz bounced back from a horrible start against St. Louis with a brilliant outing in Miami on Friday night. He went six innings, gave up six hits, and allowed no walks while striking out four batters. Foltynewicz allowed only one earned run – a solo home run in the bottom of the fourth inning to Marlins first baseman Justin Bour.
The Braves’ victory on Friday snapped Atlanta’s second six-game losing streak this season. After being swept in back-to-back series against St. Louis and Houston, Atlanta’s bats came alive to score eight runs, including a six-run seventh inning.
