Fever pushes Teheran's start to Wednesday

ATLANTA -- When the Braves learned Julio Teheran had battled a fever on Monday night, they opted to push his scheduled start against the Dodgers from Tuesday to Wednesday.

Approximately four hours before the start of Tuesday's series opener against Los Angeles, the Braves announced that Williams Perez would start in place of Teheran, who has been battling a cold for more than a week.

Teheran was still heavily congested when he arrived at Turner Field on Tuesday evening, but he was no longer carrying a fever. The right-hander played catch on the field, received some medicine from the club's medical staff and then returned home fully confident that he will be ready to make Wednesday's start.
