Washington (AFP) - The family of a fan who fell to his death from an upper deck at the Atlanta Braves' Turner Field last year is suing Major League Baseball and the club.
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported that the family of 60-year-old Gregory Murrey filed the lawsuit on Tuesday, claiming MLB and the Braves disregarded fan safety in putting up a guard railing only 30 inches high rather than 42.
"Had the rail been 42 inches, Mr Murrey would not have fallen over the rail," stated the complaint filed in Fulton County State Court.
Murrey died in August after falling from an upper deck during a game against the New York Yankees.
