Nick Markakis opted out of the 2020 season on Monday. That move leaves the Atlanta Braves short on left-handed hitters, but also changes the outfield picture for the season. For all of the debate that has surrounded Markakis for years among Braves fans, he indisputably did one thing quite well, and that was hit against right-handed pitchers. The Braves will now have to figure out how to best balance offense and defense in an outfield group with Ronald Acuña Jr. and then three other established players with clear holes in their game.
