Good morning, Athletics Nation!
The Oakland A’s have won three out of four games against the Houston Astros this week, and in the process they’ve scored a respectable 17 runs. The Atlanta Braves had that total beat by the 5th inning on Wednesday.
The Braves set a modern National League record by scoring 29 runs in their game against the Miami Marlins, resulting in a 29-9 rout. Atlanta put up 11 in the 2nd inning alone, and had 22 by the end of the 5th. The Marlins had eight by that point, which any other day would have been impressive, and yet they found themselves down by double-digits.
