DeKalb County will be represented by seven high school baseball players at the Atlanta Braves’ fourth annual 44 Classic presented by Nike at Truist Park on Sept. 24 – 25.
Players will be in attendance from Georgia, Mississippi, New York, Alabama, and Florida, but Redan High School leads all high schools in attendance with four players on the Braves’ list. Decatur High School trailed Redan, and was tied for third overall in selections, with two players selected. Dunwoody High School will also be represented by a student athlete.

- Bernard Moon, shortstop, Redan High School
- Tyrell Wyatt, second baseman, Redan High School
- Andwele Pittman, pitcher, Decatur High School
- Brandon Stephens, pitcher, Decatur High School
- Jacen Davis, middle infielder, Dunwoody High School
Braves officials said that this showcase will feature the top minority high school baseball talent from the southeast.
