Free agent reliever Darren O’Day is moving on after agreeing to a deal with the New York Yankees per a report by The Athletic’s Lindsey Adler. MLB Network’s Jon Heyman reports that the deal is for one-year at $2.5 million and contains a dual option for an additional season. Heyman also reports that the Braves and Phillies were also in the running for O’Day.

O’Day pitched well for the Braves in 2020 making 19 appearances while allowing two earned runs in 16 1/3 innings.
