Dansby Swanson underwent surgery this week on his troublesome left wrist, according to MLB’s Mark Bowman.
Thankfully, Bowman reported Dansby is expected to be ready in time for Spring Training without any restrictions.
Dansby injured his wrist in the middle of September and ended up missing the rest of the season and the NLDS. There was hope he would be able to recover in time for the Dodgers series, but that proved to not be the case.
2018 was a mixed bag for the 24-year-old shortstop. His defense improved drastically, going from -7 Defensive Runs Saved in 2017 to +10 in 2018.
