Cubs could cut ties with $85 million slugger in blockbuster trade with Braves

The Chicago Cubs are off to a strong start to the season. They are 7-5, leading the National League Central. They have bounced back after dropping their first two games against the Los Angeles Dodgers in Tokyo.

Seiya Suzuki has settled into the designated hitter role, but that could indicate that he may be looking for a change of scenery. In the offseason, his agent Joel Wolfe noted that Suzuki does not want to be a full-time designated hitter. He has made 11 appearances at DH this season. He has a no-trade clause, so he would have to approve any move.
