Holmes, a Conway native and alum of Conway High School, was a first-round draft pick by the Los Angeles Dodgers in 2014. He’s since primarily played in the minor leagues in systems for the Dodgers, Braves and Oakland Athletics.

Holmes was called up to Atlanta’s MLB roster in June and made his debut in a loss to the Tampa Bay Rays.
