Chris Martin leaves Sunday’s game with apparent injury

It has been a tough opening series for the Atlanta Braves and the news isn’t getting any better. Reliever Chris Martin left Sunday’s game during the eighth inning with an apparent injury.

Martin retired Andrew McCutchen to begin the inning but then allowed three straight singles to Rhys Hoskins, Bryce Harper and Alec Bohm. Bohm’s liner to center scored Hoskins to give Philadelphia a 2-1 lead. Martin then got Didi Gregorius to ground out to Freeman at first for the second out. His first two pitches to Jean Segura were wide and he appeared to be having some sort of discomfort.
