Cristian Pache and Braxton Davidson each had hits in the AFL championship game, but Peoria’s offense was stagnant until the ninth inning where they scored a pair of runs to send the game to extra innings. Braxton Davidson took matters into his own hands with a walk-off solo homer to clinch the AFL championship for Peoria with a 3-2 final score.
Pache got the first hit of the game with a bunt single in the bottom of the first inning. Unfortunately, he was left stranded after the next two batters struck out and he was held hitless in his next four at-bats.
