The Braves snapped their five-game losing streak against the Phillies on Friday night as Tyrell Jenkins earned his first major league win.
Jenkins went six innings, allowing just an unearned run in the 2-1 win. After starting the second half losing eight out of 10 games, Atlanta has now won three of its' last four games.
To the relief of all Braves' fans, Julio Teheran will take the mound on Saturday night for fifth start against Philadelphia this season. Leaving his start against the Rockies on July 22 early due to a muscle tweak in his back, many feared that Teheran would have to visit the Disable List, but he took a few extra days of rest and is reportedly feeling good to get back on the mound.
