Tyrell Jenkins takes the mound for the Atlanta Braves on Sunday as they look to pull off a series win over the Washington Nationals. Atlanta snapped a 14-game losing streak in the nation’s capital with an 8-5 win on Friday. The Braves fell behind early on Saturday but a ninth inning comeback attempt fell just short in a 7-6 loss.
Jenkins has filled in well with the Braves as a starter. He has allowed just two earned runs over his last 18 innings. He has at times struggled with his control walking 11 batters over that span but he has done a good job of minimizing the damage.
