Tyrell Jenkins got knocked around and the Atlanta Braves were unable to solve Tanner Roark in a 9-1 loss to the Washington Nationals.
Jenkins’ day got off to a rough start in the first. Trea Turner opened the game with a leadoff double and scored on a bunt single by Ben Revere when Anthony Recker airmailed a throw to first into the outfield. Bryce Harper followed with a double to score Revere. Harper advanced to third on a groundout by Wilson Ramos and later scored on a sacrifice fly by Anthony Rendon to put Jenkins and the Braves in an early 3-0 hole.
