Braves urged to replace Max Fried with $22.5 million World Series champion

The Atlanta Braves did not meet expectations in 2024. They were swept by the San Diego Padres in the postseason. They could lose Max Fried in free agency and would need to find a way to replace him.

FanSided's Austin Owens urged the Braves to trade for Jordan Montgomery in order to replace Max Fried. Owens suggests that Montgomery would be cheaper than keeping Fried.

"Montgomery's $22.5 million salary is insanely cheap compared to the offers that two-time All-Star Max Fried is anticipating," wrote Owens. "Additionally, with only one year on his contract, the Braves can consider Jordan Montgomery an experiment and move on if he is unable to revive his career.
