With a commanding lead in the division race in mid-July, the 2019 Atlanta Braves find themselves in a position to be buyers at this season’s unitary Trade Deadline. Unlike recent history, which saw the Braves still building or making tentative, medium-term acquisitions, the Braves are pretty obvious upgrade-seekers at this point, whether those additions are meant to further lock in the team’s sky-high playoff odds, provide heft for the postseason, or more likely, both.
