The Braves announced on Tuesday that the team has traded away young right-handed pitcher Akeel Morris to the Angels for cash considerations or a player to be named later.

Morris was acquired by the Braves via a trade with the Mets involving Kelly Johnson in early 2016. Morris broke in with the Mets back in 2015 and spent all of 2016 and most of 2017 in the minor leagues before being brought up late last season to pitch for the Braves.
