ATLANTA -- Braves top prospect Ozhaino Albies will miss the remainder of the season after suffering a minor right thumb fracture this week with Class A Rome, according to president of baseball operations John Hart. The plan at the moment is to shut Albies down and get him ready for the Instructional League.
Albies recently moved into the Braves' No. 1 prospect spot, according to MLB.com, with the departure of Jose Peraza in the July 30 trade that sent Alex Wood to the Dodgers and brought 30-year-old Cuban third baseman Hector Olivera to Atlanta.
